“A Day of Daffodils with Lady Alice Fiske”

REQUIREMENT: Daffodils (minimum of two) must predominate; other flowers, foliage permitted.  Open to Garden Club of Shelter Island members only. Four entries per class.

SECTION I
Consultant: Lilian Ackerman (749-1254)
Eligible for the Special Show Petite Award
Designs not to exceed 8” in any dimension

Class 1.  Tea Party in the Rose Garden.  A Small Design (pg208) staged on a 12”round 12” H table set for two.  All fresh material.  Exhibitor provides 36’ round table cover.

Class 2.  Alice in Sylvester Manor Land.  A Small Design. (pg208) staged in front of a dark blue niche 12”H 10”W with 5” wings on a dark blue 9” square base.  Some fresh material required.  Dried/treated material may also be used.  Backdrop/underlay and/or accessories permitted. All accessories must fit within the 8” dimension.

SECTION II
Consultant: Jean McClintock (749-5073)
Eligible for the Special Show Tricolor Award
All fresh plant material

Class 3.  Dinner at the Manor House.  A Traditional Mass (pg182-3) staged on 20” round glass top on an open wooden pedestal 12” square x 40H in front of a cream wall. No underlay or accessories permitted.  Arrangement width should not exceed 32”.

Class 4.  Luncheon on the Porch. Exhibition Table Type II.(pg 216) staged in a white niche 24” W x 30”H with 12” wings.  Total working width 30”. Backdrop/underlay/accessories permitted.

SECTION III
Consultant: Judy Brandenstein (749-0065)
Eligible for the Special Show Designer’s Choice Award
Plant material of exhibitor’s choice including fresh/dried and/or treated material.

Class 5.  Cocktails at the Pond.  A Reflective Design (pg207) staged in a white niche 15”w x 30”H with 9”wings.  Working space 24”. Backdrop/underlay and/or accessories permitted.

Class 6 & 7.  Alice in the Looking Glass. Past/Future.   A Duo Design (pg200) staged on a free standing black pedestal 12” D x 20”W x 45”H.  Design in one container, each side different from the other and each side judged as a separate class.  Arrangement width should not exceed 32”.
